OUR STORY
A lot of ideas are brewed up while traveling… When visiting Lisbon in 2016, we came across a tuk-tuk serving Portuguese wines at scenic viewpoints and the idea for Tap Travelers started fermenting. After returning home the search began for an American style tuk-tuk and after months of determined exploring, we were led to “Annie”, and eventually, a couple vintage GMC Panel trucks.
By spring of 2018 we were touring the Central Valley pouring up beer, wine, and cider and bringing the party with us. We set out to craft an experience with character, so we took it upon ourselves to design and transform our American classics into mobile bars. Now each vehicle has a personal touch and style, making every event unique in it’s own way.
MEET THE FOUNDERS
JULIE AMARAL
Co-Founder
Julie brings a love of vintage vehicles and craft beer to the party. Raised in the Central Valley of California, Julie is rooted in the culture of agriculture and the American Graffiti era. Her parents collected a few classics, like the 1964 Chevy big window Julie drove while she had her learners permit. From here, her love for the classics remained.
After minoring in Wine Marketing and Viticulture at Cal Poly SLO, Julie returned home with a new found love of wine and craft beer and worked in the industry as an event manager. Tap Travelers brings these two loves together for Julie as a fun and unique way to enhance any event and serve up tasty beverages.
MONICA FARHAT
Co-Founder
Monica is all about the experience and people. She is passionate about creating memorable events for each client and is constantly thinking of new ways to elevate the overall experience for each client’s event. But it doesn’t stop there, one of Monica’s favorite parts of the entire gig is building relationships with her clients so that they become friends. On the day of the event, Monica is always so grateful to see everyone happy and engaging in the party.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, capturing moments with photography, traveling, and hanging back with friends and family.
